Judge Appoints Capstone to Manage Property
Earlier today, a Circuit Court Judge appointed Capstone Real Estate to manage some 60,000 square feet of commercial real estate, collect the rents from the tenants (gross rents are projected to exceed $1 Million per year), pay real estate taxes, mortgage loan payments and all other operating expenses for the property, and submit financial reports to the Court and the attorneys who represent the two business-partner owners who are embroiled in a lawsuit over the real estate in question. Nor is this the first time Capstone has been appointed by a Court to manage property which was the subject of litigation. We note with pride that a judicial appointment is a significant endorsement of Capstone’s abilities, and we give credit to our great team for their hard work and professionalism.

We recently helped a business owner acquire a building in Grand Rapids. As is not unusual with existing industrial buildings, there were some environmental issues to contend with, but the Michigan DEQ gave its blessing on the prospective purchaser’s intended use and a plan to eliminate the risk of exposure to the on-site contaminants, and the closing occurred on Monday.
